Bastrop, TX / October 13, 2024 / Lost Pines Toyota proudly hosted the Celebrando Nuestra Cultura Hispana event in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, bringing together the Bastrop community to celebrate Hispanic culture, traditions, and health awareness. The dealership was beautifully decorated with colorful flag banners, traditional floral, and balloons setting the perfect festive atmosphere for the celebration.

The vibrant event featured traditional food, music, and lively activities that highlighted the rich heritage of the Hispanic community. Performances from local youth groups, including the Cedar Creek High School varsity and junior varsity teams and the Bastrop Middle School folkloric groups, showcased the beauty and pride of Hispanic dance and culture.
Attendees were treated to delicious food offerings from local businesses, including Casa Chapala Bastrop, Poco Loco Supermercado, and Berry Cool Snow Cones, adding to the festive atmosphere. The event also provided valuable community resources, including health information and an educational panel focused on traumatic brain injury (TBI) awareness and prevention in children.

The health panel featured a distinguished group of experts who shared their knowledge on concussion and TBI prevention. Panelists included Dr. Pompeyo Chavez, Bastrop County Health Authority; Sally Snow, Texas Pediatric Readiness Improvement Project; Dr. Janel Morris, Director of Student Services at Bastrop ISD; Dr. Christina Master, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia; Brady Brewer, Student Ambassador; and Kerry Fossler and Priscilla Ruiz, who hosted the presentation. Together, they emphasized the importance of raising awareness about TBI and ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
As a touching finale to the health panel, Ascension Catholic Church, alongside Lost Pines Toyota through the Toyota Way Forward program, made a generous donation of $80,000 to Bastrop ISD to support ongoing TBI awareness and prevention efforts, ensuring that the event's impact will continue to benefit the community for years to come.

“We are proud to celebrate the rich culture and traditions of the Hispanic community,” said Carlos Liriano, owner of Lost Pines Toyota. “This event not only allowed us to honor Hispanic Heritage Month but also provided an opportunity to unite our community, raise awareness on important health issues, and create lasting memories. We're grateful to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to continuing to serve and support Bastrop County.”
The success of this event was made possible thanks to the generous support of local organizations, including Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, Univision 62, First National Bank, Poco Loco Supermercado, and the Lost Pines Toyota family. These partners provided fantastic door prizes, including a TV, a cooler filled with Lost Pines Toyota merchandise, and more, adding extra excitement and joy to the day.
Carlos Liriano and Lost Pines Toyota would like to acknowledge Creative Lab Studio for their incredible work in preserving the day’s highlights through photography, videography, and their interactive 360 photo booth. DJ Manny Mo kept the atmosphere lively with music, while MC Jairo Morales brought an extra spark of energy and excitement to the event. Thanks to Bastrop County Cares, the children had a blast with fun, engaging activities, making this a truly memorable event for families.
