Bastrop, TX / July 12, 2025 / Lost Pines Toyota, in partnership with The Salvation Army, is proud to be one of the 66 Toyota and Lexus dealerships across the country who participated in a nationwide initiative providing students with the tools they need to succeed this upcoming school year.

Together, Toyota, the Toyota Lexus Minority Owners Dealership Association (TL-MODA), The Salvation Army, and other community partners teamed up to distribute 16,900 backpacks filled with essential school supplies and $10 Walmart gift card to help students in need, including 100 right here in Bastrop, Texas.
"Every child deserves to start school feeling prepared and confident," said Carlos Liriano, owner of Lost Pines Toyota. "Thanks to this amazing partnership with Toyota, TL-MODA, and The Salvation Army, we're helping families in our area equip their children for a strong start to the school year."
Volunteers from Toyota Motor North America (Toyota), TL-MODA, The Salvation Army, and Walmart thoughtfully packed each backpack with school essentials, such as pencils, notebooks, and other age-appropriate supplies to help students from elementary through high school. This effort helps ease the financial burden many families face but also inspire confidence and excitement as students head back to class.
Now in its second year, this impactful partnership highlights a shared commitment to supporting families and empowering youth through education. Since launching this national collaboration in 2020, TL-MODA has contributed more than $2 million to programs that serve underserved communities, with a strong emphasis on youth development and education.
